Well, 4 months later I suppose it's about time I updated this thing.  Do people read this anymore?

I finished school!  Mostly...I have only 1 semester left, and it involves student teaching which = no classes!  So I am essentially done and SO excited about that.  Graduation is on Dec. 15...yes.

I just spent my summer in Missouri working at Kids Across America, an inner city sports kamp affiliated with Kanakuk Kamps.  It was a truly wonderful, if not incredibly challenging experience, one that I am glad to have done, and something that has made me all the more excited to student teach.  After 2 months at kamp, I went to Kentucky for a week with my family for a huge family reunion...that too, was lots of fun and very relaxing.

I don't feel like writing much else at this point...I'd like to start writing on here again, maybe starting school in a few weeks will give me some motivation.  For now, I am relaxing at my parents before moving into my new apartment on Friday...YAY!  Hope everyone is doing well...I have a list a mile long of people I need to call and get back in touch with....so if you think you might be one of those people, be expecting a call SOON

Cheers.

Oh my gosh!  No way!?  Jim Thompson's your uncle!!!  That's crazy!  I have more random connections with that guy!  I'm working at Worthington Christian in Columbus this summer, which is where he graduated from, and then I had Ethan in my student teaching kindergarten class, and I also taught a math class (you've got to love the Jefferson/Grace drama that lands in doing things you never thought you would do!) that his daughter Hannah was in!  I am teaching at Westview elementary, 6th grade (go figure that one out!), for Randy Dahms.  He taught at Jefferson for a while, so I don't know if you remember him from working with America Reads or not, but he's the principal up there at Westview.  The school is located in Topeka, IN, which is a small small town east of Goshen.  It's close to where Kari Carter grew up, if you remember her from A1W.  =)  Anyways, where are you teaching in January?!?  FL?  or somewhere overseas?
